Yohan is an incredible athlete. He broke the school record for yards completed in a season and was ranked 10th in Dekalb County for all-time yards completed. His record breaking continued in Basketball for steals and assists as point guard. He earned MVP, Best Newcomer, and Dekalb County Kick-off awards...impressive!

After High School, Yohan went straight to the pros and played semi-pro football for the Gwinnett Patriots as QB where he lead the team in scoring. 

Yohan is a great Motivator and an excellent coach. He started his own personal training program for youth called, “The Extra Mile”. He was a Youth Athletics Director for Woodie's Child Care Center in Arizona and the Health and PE teacher for Tony Mathew’s Boys and Girls Club.

In High School Mark was an All Region and All state Player as a senior and averaged 17ppg and 8rpg. He attended Toccoa Falls College and was All region his junior and senior year as well as All-American his senior year. During Mark's junior year he was 3rd in the country with 12.7rpg and in his senior year averaged 13.2 which was 2nd in the country for NAIA. He finished 2nd all time in school history with over 1300 rebounds and set the school mark for rebounds in a game with 27 against Clearwater Christian. Mark was only the third person in Toccoa Falls history to finish his carrier with over 1500points and 1000 rebounds. He has been coaching high school basketball for 4 years now. Relja started his professional basketball journey at 15 years old in 1993 playing for KK Karlovac. In 1995 he switched to Benston Zagreb. As a member of the Croatian Jr. National team at the 1994 European Junior Championship, his team earned a silver medal.

Professional carrier in his first season of meaningful playing time in the Croatian League, Relja averaged 18.3 ppg and 10.4 rpg., shot 59% from the field, had 37 steals in 22 games, played in the Croation All- Stare game and won the league championship. This kid can hoop. Relja was written up in the European Basketball Register and I quote "he has the ability to score" at the highest level of the game. Relja is a hard worker and a wonderful role model. We are very lucky to have him fly in from Switzerland to work with our kids. At 6' 7' he works well with our post players.

My name is Shannon L. Byrd. I am a 28 year old special education teacher. I attended Livingstone College in Sailsbury NC right after high school where I played for a year. After that I transferred to Allen University here in Columbia, SC so that I could be closer to home where my family could see me play. I received numerous awards and recognitions at Allen including All-Conference, All – Region Player and All- Time leading scorer. I eventually graduated from the University of South Carolina where I received both my BA and Masters. From there I went on to teach high school at Blythewood High. I became the first female Varsity Asst. Boy’s Basketball Coach in the district’s history. I coached for several years under the head coach there. When I felt like I was finally ready, I applied for, and got my first head coaching job at Camden High School where I still serve as the Girl’s Head Varsity Basketball Coach. In addition to serving as a high school coach, I have also worked with a variety of different age groups. I was the asst. director over a basketball camp program held at Camden High School for ages 6 - 17. I have also coached on several children’s leagues including my 7 year old son’s team. I have also coached and taught at various camps along the East Coast. Basketball is my passion, I Love this Game!

Life skills & diversity leader

Dr. Moore currently serves as Director of Diversity at The Bush School in Seattle, WA and is our director for life skills and diversity traiing. He is responsible for overall programming, budgeting, student groups and working with other departments building implementing strategies associated with recruitment, retention and community outreach. Dr. Moore recently earned his Ph.D. in Education: Social Foundations from the University of Iowa. His research is on the educational experiences of African-American football players at small colleges in the Midwest. Dr. Moore is an ex-student athlete and remains committed to the influence of athletics and academics in the lives of all students.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Moore was Director of Intercultural Life at Central College in Pella, Ia. Before coming to Central College he was the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Intercultural Life at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. The job description for both places was very similar. He was responsible for overall programs, budget and operations. As Assistant Dean of Students, Dr. Moore’s duties ranged from discipline, recruiting and day-to-day small college operations. Before coming to Cornell College, Dr. Moore was a Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Iowa in Iowa City Iowa and at Cornell College in Mount Vernon Iowa. As Teaching Assistant, Dr. Moore was responsible for teaching the course Human Relations for the Classroom Teacher at each institution. Dr. Moore had full responsibility for the meeting of classes, planning and conducting class sessions, evaluating student work and assigning grades for students of each respective institution.

Previously, Dr. Moore was a motivational speaker, Camp Counselor and Coach for the Loras College All-Sport Camp for four summers. As counselor, Dr. Moore supervised and coached students, ages 7-14, in developing skills in a variety of sports and activities. He organized, presented and facilitated diversity training, nutrition and self-esteem development sessions. During the 1996-1997 school year, Dr. Moore served as Hall Director and supervised a staff of seven Resident Assistants also at Loras College. As Hall Director he dealt with discipline problems and policy violations. He also developed programs and activities, balanced financial accounts and filed facility reports for the resident’s hall. Dr. Moore also served as an Assistant Football Coach for the Loras Duhawks during the seasons of ’93, ’94 and ’95. Dr. Moore coached the quarterbacks and recruited athletes from the Florida area.

In 1996 Dr. Moore developed and maintains a growing and thriving Multicultural Diversity Consulting and Research Team: ‘America & MOORE, Research & Consulting’. The team, which consists of several on-call presenters, in addition to Dr. Moore, has given interactive and motivating presentations to students from grade K through post secondary levels. Presentations have also been given to parents, community members and organizations, city and state government employees throughout Iowa. The presentations focus on issues of diversity, race relations, community, stereotypes and self-esteem. This challenging presentation leaves participants with constructive questions about their personal beliefs, prejudices and biases. Included within the session is information and discussion on various issues preventing peaceful human relations and ‘white privilege’.

Dr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell College in Mount Vernon Iowa, in Political Science. He also received his teaching certification from the University of Florida in Gainesville Florida. He received his Masters of Arts in Educational Administration from Loras College in Dubuque Iowa. He is recently received his Ph.D. in Education: Social Foundations from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

Dr. Moore is also actively involved in community work along with his academic responsibilities. He worked at the Broadway Neighborhood Center in Iowa City Iowa. While there he met with Junior and Senior High students attending the local community center on weekends. He held educational sessions, arranged for the students to attend local community events and maintained a student-recycling program. Dr. Moore also developed and conducted a parent involvement group for the Prescott Headstart Program in Dubuque Iowa. He developed and presented parenting and educational issues such as spanking, Ritalin, relationships and gift giving. Dr. Moore has also worked with adolescent students attending an after-school-program funded by Substance Abuse Services Center. Dr. Moore developed various topics affecting teens today. Those issues included the nigger word, job skills and applications, love and abstinence, race relations, academic achievement, Black history and social skills and mannerisms.

Dr. Moore has taken his message to national and international conferences and college and university organizations. A list of conference presentations would include FINE: First in the Nation In Education, Iowa’s Educational Research Foundation, AERA: American Education Research Association, in ’99, AESA, in ’98, and NCORE: National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in ’00. A listing of college presentations would include School-to-Work Graduations, Des Moines Area Community College; Luther College, Decorah Iowa; the College-Bound Program, Iowa State, Ames Iowa; Mount Mercy, Cedar Rapids Iowa; and Saturday Scholars, Chicago. Dr. Moore has also been invited to be keynote speaker for MLK celebrations in Fayette Iowa in ’96; Fort Madison Iowa in ’99, ‘02 and in Dubuque Iowa in ’97, ’00 and Kirkwood Community College in ‘02. As Hall Director at Loras in 1995-1996, Dr. Moore organized and facilitated a series of forums and panel discussions for the college and surrounding community covering the topics of affirmative action, interracial dating, flag burning, women and minorities in higher education, religion, gender/color and race relations.

Recognized for his ability to motivate students of all ages into action, Dr. Moore continues to be invited to teach and speak locally, nationally and internationally on issues related to diversity, cultural competency, self-esteem enhancement (www.eddiemoorejr.com ). He is a life-long learner as he works to maximize and sharpen his expanding knowledge base and experiences. Dr. Moore is presently an active member of Brothers of the Academy (BOTA). This is an organization of young African American males across the nation in higher education. Dave played his high school basketball for South Side High School, and won the Long Island Slam Dunk Contest his senior year (1995). Post high school, Dave played College basketball for Nassau Community College (New York) and as a scholarship player for the University of Bridgeport. While at the University of Bridgeport, Dave established himself a consistent performer at the big guard position earning All-conference, All- Northeast honors, and leading the conference (N.E.C.C.) in rebounds two consecutive years. In addition, Lemanczyk earned a ticket to the Division II All-Star game at Holy Cross College in 2000.

After graduation and the completion of his degree in Human Services, Dave signed a Professional Contract with C.D. Nacional in Madeira Island, Portugal. He played one season professionally and came back home the United States to begin his quest of human performance. Annie Ritsick is a 6-foot forward. She played her four years in high school at Wyoming Valley West in Plymouth, PA where she lettered all four years. She was First-Team All-Conference her senior year and MVP of the Senior All-Star game. She played on four AAU teams while she finished up her high school career. Then Annie took her career to a junior college called Barstow College where she was First-Team All-Conference both years. Her second year at Barstow College she was an all-state nominee after averaging 16.7 points, 2.4 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. She then took her game to CSU Stanislaus where she played a year. Next season she will be an undergrad assistant under men's coach Keith Larson for the CSU Stanislaus men's basketball team.

Bailey played for Alvin high school and University of N. Texas she averaged a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds a game to go along with four blocked shots a contest in her senior season. Lets say that again she averaged a double-double very, very impressive. She was named the District 24-5A Defensive Player of the Year. Bailey was a first-team all-district and all-region selection her senior season. Bailey was also one of just 20 players in the Houston area to be selected to the Greater Houston All-Stars. In her junior season, Bailey averaged 12.8 points and 9.6 rebounds as she was named to the District 24-5A first-team.

Derric Paige came from Kalamazoo Central High School in Kalamazoo MI where he accepted a scholarship at Lemoyne-Owen College. After red-shirting at Lemoyne-Owen, he then transferred to Olivet College for the 1997-1998 season, where he started at the Point guard position and led the team in steals and assists, also finishing 4th in the conference in assists per game. During the 1998-1999 season he helped Olivet to their first winning season in over a decade, finishing the season 15-10. The following season, Derric finished in the top 10 in the conference in assists and steals, again, finishing the season 15-10. His senior year, Derric was in the top 3 in assists, steals, and blocks per game amongst the team and finished in the top 10 in steals. Few people have as much impact on the way professional athletes perform day in and day out as a team's strength and conditioning coach. For many athletes, that critical job falls on Johnny Doyle’s capable shoulders. Johnny spent thirteen seasons as strength and conditioning coach in the NBA. While in the NBA, Johnny was primarily responsibility for keeping athletes in game shape, monitoring between-game workouts, overall conditioning, physical rehabilitation and mentoring the athletes. 
Prior to working in the NBA, the Los Angeles native spent six years with the nationally respected Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. While at Kerlan-Jobe, Johnny's primary responsibility was rehabilitation and conditioning for the numerous athletes that walked through the doors of the sports medicine clinic. Johnny’s time at the sports medicine clinic presented him the experience needed to work at the professional level while working with various athletes from every major sport. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Johnny was active in his native Los Angeles community by volunteering at several youth camps across Southern California. Johnny moved to Las Vegas four years ago and continued his work with children while volunteering and mentoring at the YMCA of Southern Nevada prior to functioning for two years as the youth sports and fitness director. His dedication to the youth of today is what drives him to assist today’s youth in obtaining their goals on all levels.

Tony turned two doormat teams into reputable teams (Chaffey and Alta Loma) and placed numerous players at the collegiate level. Tony received the 1996 Inland Valley Girls Basketball Coach of the Year Award after guiding Chaffey High School, who was 0-26 before he took over, to the CIF playoffs the following year in his first year as a varsity head coach. began coaching in 1991.. His most recent head coaching stint was at Alta Loma High School as the Head Girl's Varsity Basketball Coach where he guided them to one game short of the CIF playoffs with 11 victories in 2007, which was the most victories for that school since 1996.

Forest played High School basketball for Varsity at Garfield High School 00-01 and Mariner High School 01-03. His record in High School was 63-14. Forest played college at the Division 2 and 3 levels for Bethany College in Kansas and Keuka College in New York. Karla graduated in 2005 and will play a year for Edmonds Community College this coming 2006 season and try to get noticed by the American colleges. We use Karla to humble some of the high school boys who think they're all that.

Evangelist, author, international leadership speaker and pastor to coaches, Dr. Dee Stokes, spent 18 years as a basketball coach before her desires and dreams shifted and led her to retire from coaching to work in full time ministry. Her desire to be the best in her field as a coach was replaced with the call to ministry. She is the President and Founder of Dee Stokes Ministries, Inc. (www.deestokes.org).

Dr. Stokes worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Murray State, Texas A&M, Winthrop, the University of Nebraska, East Carolina, Winston-Salem State, and Southeastern University as an assistant and head women’s basketball coach. She also served as Assistant Professor of Education at Southeastern.

Dr. Stokes holds the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership both from Liberty University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UNC Charlotte as well as a Masters of Public Administration from DeVry University. Shawn Jones is in his sixth year as assistant coach for Benedict College. He is a native of Allendale, SC where he graduated from Allendale-Fairfax High School. He was a member of the boys’ varsity basketball team for four years. He was a three-time All-Region player, and a 1994 All-State selection. Jones attended Garden City Community College where he was team captain of the basketball team during the 1995-96 seasons. He left GCCC to play at Southwest Baptist University from 1996-99. There he was a three year starter, team captain and averaged 13.2 points a game. After graduating from SBU in 1999, Jones returned home to Allendale, SC to begin his coaching career. He guided the varsity team to a 41-19 record over two seasons, winning the first ever boys basketball state championship in school history. He earned two, State Coach of the Year honors. He went on to serve as assistant coach at Lower Richland High School where they won a Lower State Championship in 2004. He also coached at Newberry College as an assistant from 2004-05. Coach Jones joined the benedict College Tigers for the 2007-08 year. That season, the Tigers won the SIAC regular season, the SIAC tournament, and advanced to the region game (sweet 16). Jones was then selected to coach at the international level. Coach Jones served as the Junior National team head coach and assistant coach for the National team of Qatar in 2008-09. Over the last 20 years, Brett Brungardt has established himself as one of America’s most accomplished and premiere strength and conditioning coaches. He has trained NBA MVP’s and dunk champions, Cy Young Award Winners, NFL players and Olympic athletes.

He is one of a handful of fitness experts who have worked with athletes at all levels of development: high school, college and pro. During his two-year stay at Connors State College in Oklahoma, John was named to the Bi-State Regional Team both years while leading the team in scoring both years. He was named State Tournament MVP and was named the #1 Junior College Shooting Guard by ESPN analyst Dick Vitale. John then went on to play at the University of Missouri, where he was named to the Big 12 Conference Newcomer Team and earned the Conference Defensive Award. He was twice named Player of the Week. After graduating, John was a shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks' Summer League team. He then played in Europe, where he helped his team win the German Euroleague Championship. He was named MVP of the Championship Game in 2002 after scoring 45 points in the game.

John is a much sought-after instructor and has trained some of the game's best: Tim Hardaway (Dallas Mavericks), George Lynch (Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets), and Chris Bosh (Toronto Raptors) are among his pupils. During the 2004 season, he coached at Connors State College where his duties included player development and recruiting.

Nadja's college career was even more impressive. From 1998-2002, she played 4 years at Pepperdine University where she was All-WCC and All-WCC tournament team, averaging a double-double her senior year, two NCAA tournaments appearances and three conference championships. She was top ten in both scoring and rebounding at Pepperdine with over 1300 points and 800 rebounds.

In her professional career Nadja practices with the Seattle Storm WNBA as a member of their practice squad in the summer. 2002-present, International professional. Calvin Curry comes to Advantage Basketball from an exceptional basketball career. Calvin started all four years at Compton Senior High School in California where Calvin averaged 22 ppg, 8 rpg, and 2 assists, and was a two-time All-State pick. Calvin attended Ventura J.C. and was California C.C., Co-Player of the year, MVP of the Western State conference, received J.C. All-American honors, all while averaging 21.8 ppg, and 8.1 rpg. After leading Ventura to the California Juco title game Calvin accepted a full scholarship to play at the Division 1 University of Oklahoma. Calvin averaged 17.8 ppg and scored over 30 points in numerous games with an amazing 10 out of 16 from the 3-point line against the University of Colorado. Calvin was said to be one of the top three-point shooters in the country. Calvin went on to play for the NBA Denver Nuggets and many professional overseas teams during his career.

Over the past 22 years of being a shooting coach he has worked with over 100 NBA players, Two #1 Draft Picks, 5 NBA ALL-STARS, 1 Rookie of the Year and 1 Gatorade 3 Point Shootout Champion. John attended Ball State University and then went to Dartfish (the leader in sports video analysis and training applications) to get his training certificate. He went on to become the basketball shooting coach for Gonzaga college. Since 2002, John has worked with the NBA developing training programs for the league.

Marcus, played for coach Gary Nichols at North Shore High School, in Houston TX. Marcus Guided North Shore High School to 80-25 record as a three year starter, and was a multiple All-District 23-5A selection… A McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior, he was voted Most Valuable Player in District 23-5A, All-Greater Houston Team selection junior and senior years, and a second team all-state selection during his senior season. Marcus was also a member of National Honor Society, Gents social club, and Federal Christian Athletes Association while in high school.

After graduating from North Shore, Marcus received a basketball scholarship to attend Sam Houston State University. While there, Marcus would be a part of the 2003 Southland conference and tournament championship team which earned the schools first ever trip to the NCAA tournament. As a sophomore, Marcus ranked in the top 10 in the conference in assists. Marcus transferred to Minnesota State University-Moorhead to finish his college playing career. Marcus served as the team captain, was voted team MVP, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week (NSIC) and was a NSIC All-Conference selection.

Marcus's first coaching experience came as an assistant coach at the collegiate level at his alma mater, Minnesota State. His main job responsibilities were guard development, practice planning, grade and eligibility verifications, opponent scouting, and in game support and analysis. Marcus spent one year in this capacity, before moving back home to serve as a volunteer assistant coach at North Shore High School under legendary coach Joe Price. Marcus spent one year in this role while obtaining his teacher certification. Marcus then moved to C.E. King High School, where he spent five years and would assist on a district title winning team and multiple playoff appearances under head coach Christian Thompson.

Marcus currently is the JV coach and varsity assistant coach at Clear Creek High School, under head coach Wes Bryan. Marcus serves as the campus wide Vocational Adjustment Coordinator.

Marcus thoroughly loves to combine his passion for basketball and youth development in multiple aspects. He is a certified University Interscholastic basketball official, Marcus also is a trained basketball analyst for Krossover Sports, Marcus also in an Physical Education item writer for Oakhill Technology which submits writing pieces to the Educational Testing Services (ETS). Marcus conducts private and group training session also for athletes in grades 4 & up.

Marcus graduated from Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science along with a Minor in Coaching in 2007. Marcus also completed a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2010 with a 3.5 GPA.

As a player, Alex Moore-Porter has a basketball career that almost spans a decade. She played 3 years at Division I NAIA Azusa Pacific University in Southern California from 2009-2011. As captain of her team, she lead the cougars to a national championship in 2011 and two conference championships in 2010 and 2011. In her career at Azusa, Alex is the first player to earn 3 consecutive All-American selections, with a career total of 1,833 points (3rd best on All-time cougar scoring list and most points scored in 3 seasons). She is a 3-time All Golden State Athletic conference (GSAC) player, and made the NAIA All tournament team for all three seasons. In recognition for her outstanding play for the 2010-2011 season, the jersey of Moore-Porter was placed at the Ring of Display in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee. Alex credits hard work in the gym and keeping a positive attitude to overcome adversity. Over her career, Alex has developed a wide skill-set in hopes of becoming a well-rounded basketball player.

An eastside native, Alex first played organized basketball at 12 years old. She attended Lakeside Upper School in North Seattle from 2003 to 2007. After overcoming 2 consecutive ACL repairs at age 14 and 15, she ventured on a 24-moth rehabilitation and missed both her freshman season and sophomore season of high school. After an abundance of training in the offseason, Alex came back healthy for her last two years of high school basketball. While at Lakeside, she led the Metro in scoring and tallied 923 points during two seasons, averaging 21 points and 16 rebounds. She made the Washington All-Star team in 2007 and was a featured in the Seattle Times and Seattle PI as a stand-out player. Alex currently resides in Kirkland with her husband.

During my High school career for Mansfield Sr, I was awarded 4 varsity letters 4 conference titles, and 2 elite 8 appearances and 1 final 4 appearance. After my high school career ended I attended Tyler Jr. College where I played both small forward and power forward for Coach Mike Marquis where I was a sixth man as a freshman. Due to Coaching Changes my sophomore year I transferred to Southeast Community College Where I was a starter and averaged 21 pts per game and 11.5 rebounds. In the fall of 2002 I signed a Division 1 letter of intent to play For Mcneese State University under Head Coach George Tic Price, At Mcneese I got injured and ended my career as a player was over it was then I began coaching in various college intermurals games and state tournaments, I also became an assistant coach for Molo Magnet Middle school in Lake Charles Louisiana. In 2010 after coming home from Louisiana I began Training youth post players around the area. I spent the spring of 2010 as a volunteer assistant with Mansfield Sr. High school and later on becoming a 7th grade AAU basketball coach. The next spring I coached the 9th and 10th grade AAU basketball team the little tygers. Currently I have been mentoring both high school and college kids on making the right decisions in there career such as educational majors and athletic expectations and in the spring of 2014 I began coaching with the Mansfield Cavs Youth basketball program. Willie was signed by Coach Benny Dees at the University of New Orleans where he played. He graduated from UNO in 1992 with a degree in Communications.

Willie advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and finished 16th in the final Associated Press poll. 
The combination guard-forward who was regarded as his team’s best defensive player averaged 14.4 points a game as a junior and won All-American South Conference honors as UNO finished 19-11 and made another trip to the NIT. As a senior, he helped lead the Privateers to a 21-11 record, a third straight American South Conference title, and a third consecutive NIT berth.

He coached and taught at St. Martin’s Episcopal High School in Metairie. He was signed by Head Coach Benny Dees for a second time when he accepted the job of Assistant men’s basketball coach at Western Carolina University. The team advanced to the finals of the conference tournament the first year, making history while turning the program around from a seven year losing streak. When Benny Dees retired after two seasons, Richardson became the Assistant Secretary of Labor. He later became an assistant coach at the University of New Orleans with Joey Stiebing for one year helping the program turn around from a 12-17 record to a 17-12 record.

Richardson founded Hoops for Life in 2002. Hoops for Life is a basketball camp/ program dedicated to uplift both with basketball skills and academics.

Coach Richardson was in Doha, Qatar as the head coach of Rayyan Professional Club for the 2003-2004 basketball season. The Rayyan team placed second, competing for the Asian Cup in December 2003. The team was the champion of the Qatar League, the winner of the Gulf Championships, and a finalist for the Qatar Emir Cup. Coach Richardson’s team ended a record of 76-7. Upon returning to the states, he was an intern assistant coach for the New Orleans’ Hornets under the direction of Byron Scott.

Presently, Coach Richardson is the Head Basketball Coach for both boys and girls at the Atlanta International School. He also serves as the Head of Basketball Operations. He and his wife Valerie have three children, Jerica, age 19, Rico, age 13 and Galen, age 9.

Aubrey Guastalli has been playing competitively since the 3rd grade. At only 5’ 4” tall, she persevered and kept working hard. She continued to get better and worked her way up through AAU level competition, through high school, junior college and ultimately earned the privilege of playing under legendary coach Pat Summit for her final 2 years of college ball at the University of Tennessee. She holds records for 3 pt. shooting at Westwood High School in Massachusetts, and at Southern Idaho. She has worked with children from across the country at various basketball camps, coast to coast, and is excited to join the Advantage Basketball Camps staff. She is now based out of Long Beach, CA. Jamar has been playing basketball for over 20 years. He has played competitively at the high school, college and minor league professional and NBA summer league level. At NNU (Northwest Nazarene University) in 2011-12, Pillard led the Crusaders in both scoring (15.2 points per game) and rebounding (6.42 per game), which both ranked tenth in the GNAC overall.

After transferring schools to be closer to home, JB landed at Central Washington University and made his presence known. Averaging 15 Ppg & 8 Rebs all the while shooting 63.4 percent from the field (leading conference & 10th in country NCAA II).

In his first year playing professional basketball, JB found himself in Darwin, Australia where he played in the Darwin Basketball Association (DBA). JB put up some impressive numbers, managing to on score less than 20 pts on one occasion on his way to averaging 36.8 Ppg, 16 Rebs, and 6 ast.

Tamara McDonald is a highly valued member of our Advantage Basketball staff. She is a former professional women's basketball player and was a college standout. Originally, from Ontario, CA, McDonald attended Chaffey High School where she was a High School All-American. McDonald had a highly successful high school career with awards such as, The Daily Bulletin's 1999 "Player of the Year", Inland Empire Player of the Year Award, All-Area Team. Tamara earned an All-California Interscholastic Federation four-year scholarship to Pepperdine University. She excelled throughout her college career earning the title, "West Coast Conference Player of the Year 2003." She also played an instrumental roll in helping her team appear in 3 NCAA tournaments, 1 NIT, and to 3 Conference Championships. Following her collegiate career, she went on to play professional basketball. Along with being a part of our Top Staff, Tamara is now the Girls Basketball Head Coach at Calabasas High School.

Coach Marcilina Grayer enters her third season on the SLCC coaching staff. A former SLCC Women's Basketball player herself, Coach Grayer brings a wealth of experience with her in returning to the program. She has also taken on the role of Eligibility Coordinator for the department.

Mostly working with the Bruin post players, Grayer played a huge role in helping SLCC land a First Team All-Region 18 and Player of the Year pick in sophomore Cassidy Whitney. Because of her efforts, Marcilina helped lead SLCC to a 27-7 overall record and 13-2 Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) record, leading to winning the SWAC championship and a NJCAA National Tournament at large berth where the Bruins advanced to the Sweet 16.

Prior to coming back to SLCC, Grayer spent a full season as an assistant coach at Feather River College (FRC) and was in charge of the strength and conditioning program for the Golden Eagles. While at FRC, Grayer was also the head coach of the track and field program.

She helped lead the Golden Eagles Women's Basketball squad to its best record in ten years under FRC Head Coach Haley White. Prior to her stint at FRC, Grayer spent a year on the Copper Hills High School Girls' Basketball staff and also coached for one year at Highland High School in the Salt Lake Valley.

Coach Grayer played collegiately at SLCC from 2008-10 where she helped the Bruins to a Region 18 Runner-up finish and a No. 5 final ranking in the NJCAA Top 25 Polls in 2010. Grayer was an Academic All-Region 18 scholar-athlete in each of her two seasons as a Bruin.

She moved on to compete and study at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah from 2010-12, where she helped guide the Red Storm to their first ever NCAA West Region appearance.

Marcilina played her high school basketball at Copper Hills High School (CHHS) in West Jordan, Utah and was a First Team All-Region player in her junior and senior seasons. She earned Second Team All-State honors as a senior with the Grizzlies and was a basketball and track and field team captain at CHHS.

Nebraska University

Melody Peterson is a new addition to our accomplished staff. Melody claimed High School All-American honors as a senior at Mater Dei High School in Pasadena, CA. She also earned a place in the Nike/WBCA All Star Classic, and was listed among the "USA Today's" top 20 recruited in the nation. Melody led Mater Dei to back-to-back California State titles in her junior and senior years, while averaging 25 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 5 assists, and 6 steals. She finished her career with more than 2,000 points. After her senior year, she accepted a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at, division 1, Stanford University. She later transferred to the University of Nebraska, where Peterson's speed and athleticism, along with her ability to penetrate, and create off the dribble, made her a dangerous offensive and defensive player.

Virginia Commonwealth University

John played Division-1 college ball at Virginia Commonwealth University. From there, he went to play pro ball for the Holland team where he earned 1998 Holland All-Star Game honors and 2000 Dutch Champion. John was nicknamed “The Beast” because of the way he can dominate the 3-second area with his mere presence. A massive build means he will take up a lot of space in the key. Offensively, he is a real back-to-the-basket player, using his weight to get in close to the basket for high percentage shots. He has played for Israel, Finland, New Zealand, Holland, and England, so he brings a wealth of different professional coaching techniques to Advantage Basketball Camps.

Air Force Academy

Marc Holum was born in Bethlehem, PA. He attended Saucon Valley High School and became the schools all-time leading scorer with 1,643 career points. From there, went to the Air Force Academy Prep School and helped the team earn the best record in school history, 24-10. After graduating from there, he moved on to the Air Force Academy and was part of one of the biggest program turnarounds in collegiate history. He was selected as a co-captain in his senior season, 2006, in which the Air Force Academy posted a 24-7 record (best in school history) and was selected to the NCAA tournament. In his final two seasons, he led the Mountain West Conference in Assist-turnover ratio (3.25 to 1). He is currently serving in the Air Force as a second lieutenant, at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

I serve as a mentor, trainer, life coach, and player (to the game). The game of basketball has been a path for me to seek my vision and success in the future.

I created a non-profit youth foundation ("RIS3: Leaders Academy"). My goal is not to only teach and preach the game of basketball, but also to teach and stress the importance of integrity, leadership, discipline, and love. I want to prepare young men and women for the next stage in their life outside of the game. Basketball is only the smallest fraction in these kids' lives, but can be a learning experience – a guide to developing core principles, morals, and values relating to life outside of basketball. Spreading positive love and energy through this game can create healthier environments and opportunities for youth to build skills preparing them for their future. I relate basketball to life. You don't lose in basketball or in life. There is only winning and learning.
